Today we are thrilled to reveal the new Caledonia Senior Living & Memory Care website! This is a project that has been many months in the making, and we hope that the new website will give you a true sense of our community, where care is at the core of our mission. It is our goal to use this space to highlight our beautiful five-acre campus in the forest preserves, as well our comprehensive care options from assisted living to the most specialized skilled nursing care, and everything in between.
The new website is part of a larger project we have undertaken in the past year to update our message, logos and branding in order to more closely align with our values, our vision for the future and the comprehensive living options we offer. As a result of this update, Caledonia Senior Living & Memory Care is the new name for our campus, which was formerly known as The Scottish Home and also includes our new Memory Care at The MacLean House. Just as we always have, we continue to offer personalized, genuine care in our boutique aging services environment.
Additionally, Caledonia Senior Living & Memory Care remains the principal charity of the Illinois Saint Andrew Society, a vital Scottish cultural organization and the oldest nonprofit in Illinois. As part of this overall vision and rebranding project, the Illinois Saint Andrew Society is now known as Chicago Scots. As an organization, Chicago Scots continues to promote culture and community steeped in Scottish history, tradition, innovation and values.
As we move through 2019, you will see new logos and a new look for both Chicago Scots and Caledonia Senior Living & Memory Care at our events throughout the year, including the Scottish Festival & Highland Games in Itasca in June. Our new logos are based on a traditional Scottish symbol known as a “luckenbooth.” The luckenbooth features two hearts intertwined with a crown above them, intended to represent the Scottish values of love and loyalty. As always, Chicago Scots and Caledonia Senior Living & Memory Care welcome everyone into the fold of our greater community, whether you are Scottish by birth, by heritage or simply by inclination.
Our CEO Gus Noble is excited to see the mission and relationship of Chicago Scots and Caledonia Senior Living & Memory Care expressed so clearly through this project. “Our large group of staff, our board, the residents and volunteers together with our branding partners took a deep dive to uncover who we are at our core and what makes us special,” he explained. “Our updated look honors our past and prepares us for our bright future. It also integrates our whole organization bringing together culture and care into one community.”
As we look to the future, the next phase of our vision and rebranding project will include a major renovation and redecoration of our legacy building, The Scottish Home. We are excited to begin to share that progress with you in the coming months. In the meantime, we would love to tell you more about our exciting organization and our vision for the future. We encourage anyone who is interested in learning more to schedule a visit to our campus or speak with us directly.
